Terms of use

About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Kora Limited (company number [to be confirmed], registered at [to be confirmed]), which runs Ange. By creating an account you agree to them. Contact: [to be confirmed].

Who can use Ange

You must be 18 or over. Keep your password to yourself; you’re responsible for what happens in your account.

What Ange is, and isn’t

  • Ange combines reviewed local information with what earlier newcomers reported, and uses AI to write answers. It can be wrong, incomplete or out of date.
  • Opening times, prices, routes, rules and eligibility change. Check anything important with the organisation concerned before relying on it.
  • Ange doesn’t give legal, medical, immigration or financial advice. For those, speak to a qualified professional, your university’s support services or NHS 111.
  • In an emergency, call 999.
  • Directions and times come from third-party map services and are estimates. Take care, and follow road signs and local rules.

Ange credit

  • New accounts receive a one-off welcome credit, currently £5. We may change or end the welcome offer for future sign-ups.
  • Credit is used only when Ange writes an answer with AI; the current price per answer is shown in the app. Answers that only show reviewed information don’t use credit, and failed answers aren’t charged.
  • When your balance is too low, you can still send a limited number of free messages each day. The current number is shown in the app.
  • Top-ups are prepaid credit for use in Ange. Credit has no cash value, can’t be transferred, and isn’t refundable except where the law requires. Unused credit is lost if you delete your account.
  • Because credit is digital content that you ask us to supply immediately, you agree that once you start using it, you lose the 14-day right to cancel for credit you have used. You can still cancel within 14 days for any top-up you haven’t used.
  • We may change prices for future use. We’ll show the new price in the app before it applies, and it won’t affect credit you’ve already been charged for.

Using Ange fairly

Don’t use Ange to break the law, harass anyone, share other people’s personal information, try to get around its limits or security, or copy it in bulk. We may suspend accounts that do.

Your content

Your questions and notes remain yours. You let us use them to run Ange for you and, unless you switch it off in your account settings, to improve and train Ange from copies of your questions with contact details removed and without your name, as described in our privacy policy. Notes you save are never used for this.

Our responsibility to you

We provide Ange with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms limits your legal rights as a consumer, or our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Otherwise, we’re not responsible for losses that weren’t foreseeable, for decisions you make relying on general guidance, or for services run by others that Ange points you to.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in the app. We may close accounts that break these terms, and if we stop running Ange we’ll give you reasonable notice.

Changes and law

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we’ll tell you in the app before the change applies. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
